Sponsorship & Funding
The Ten Tors Orchestra was launched through an inaugural series of ten concerts funded by South Devon & Dartmoor LEADER II, the South West of England Regional Development Agency, West Devon Borough Council, South Hams District Council and South West Arts. The funding enabled the establishment of this, the only fully professional chamber orchestra based in the South West of England promoting a year-round series of concerts of a varied repertoire and employing the regions finest musicians. The orchestra has also received funding from the Devon & West Somerset Key Fund towards the purchase of a new computer with specialist arts marketing software, training in arts administration and creating this website. Such has been the success that the Ten Tors Orchestra Management Board (of volunteers) made the decision to promote further concerts. These concerts however require financial support beyond and above the revenue raised through tickets sales. Individuals have and continue to give their support as Friends and Patrons.
